When vision is working well, it guides and leads; when not, it interferes.

John W. Streff, OD

At Vision Ability, we understand that strong vision goes beyond the typical 20/20.

Our vision integrates with the other systems of your body, allowing us to navigate our environment and learn from our surroundings.

We know first-hand that when our vision is working well, we hardly think about it. But, when it isn’t working well, it can significantly interfere with the quality of living for people of all ages.

We specialize in treatment programs for:

  • Concussion Rehabilitation

  • Amblyopia

  • Strabismus

  • School/Work-Related Vision Performance

Some of the visual symptoms we often address are:

  • Headaches

  • Dizziness

  • Nausea

  • Motion sickness

  • Light Sensitivity

  • Eye pain/strain

  • Losing track of your place when reading

  • Poor depth perception/bumping into things

During your vision assessment:

Dr. Corriveau will help you understand how your visual system is processing the information it is receiving, and what that means in relation to your symptoms and your overall day-to-day experience.

Here’s just a few things that Dr. Corriveau will look at in your assessment:

  • Can your eyes track smoothly and accurately?

  • Can your eyes change focus between near and far quickly and accurately?

  • Are you truly using binocular vision, or is your visual system suppressing one eye?

  • How accurate is your depth perception?

  • And above all, how are your symptoms impacted when trying to do any of these tasks?

During your vision therapy program:

Your vision therapy sessions will be 1:1 with your therapist, for either 25 or 50 minutes, in-person or virtual. Your therapist will create an exercise plan specific to your diagnoses and your personal goals, under the guidance of Dr. Corriveau. Home exercises will be provided to supplement the treatment sessions.

Our goal is to help you to achieve your goals, improve your visual comfort, and your quality of life. We want you to leave feeling confident that your vision is going to support your performance in school/work/sport/life, and not hold you back any longer.

At Vision Ability, our vision is your success!
