Amanda Whaling, R.Kin, PVT, COVT

Amanda graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2013 with her bachelor’s degree in Honours Kinesiology. During her studies, Amanda had a keen interest in cognition and perception, as well as biomechanics; which have lent very well to her career in vision therapy. She became a Registered Kinesiologist in 2014 with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario, and started her career in Vision Therapy in 2015. Since then, she has graduated as a Practical Vision Therapist from the inaugural Practical Vision Therapist Accreditation Program (PVTAP) program offered by Vision Therapy Canada in 2017, and successfully completed her Certified Optometric Vision Therapist (COVT) certification in 2020, and Amanda looks forward to continue furthering her education in this diverse and ever-growing field. Amanda’s favourite part of her day is watching the “ah-ha!” moments that her patients have as they succeed at new challenges in their sessions. She enjoys working with both children and adults, and values building a strong relationship with every person she works with.

In her free time, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband and dog, travelling, trying new food, reading, watching movies, and visiting with friends and family.
